We've found a great way to reach out to elderly people at risk of loneliness. We've invited one of the most engaged social groups, the Rural Housewives Clubs, to collaborate and participate in the program.

Challenge

  • Combating loneliness among seniors in dispersed rural areas and ensuring regular contact with people.
  • Engaging Rural Housewives Clubs (KGW) in organizing meetings for local seniors at a shared table.

 

Implementation

  • Recruitment through direct call centers and digital campaigns involving 90 KGW in the pilot phase and 750 in the 1st edition.
  • Providing KGW with E-vouchers for Biedronka stores, enabling them to purchase products for senior meetings.
  • Ongoing communication with KGW through a dedicated profile and closed Facebook group.
  • Offering substantive and organizational support through webinars with experts, dedicated guides, etc.
  • Monitoring KGW reporting and donation settlements.

 

Results

  • Organization of 329 meetings in the pilot phase and 2300 in the 1st edition of the program (March-July 2023).
  • Over 10,000 hours spent with seniors.
  • KGW program evaluation: 9.8 on a scale of 1-10.
